Where Has The Time Gone?!

We have had a fun-filled summer, and our internet is finally working again so that we can update everyone! We spent one week in Texas toward the beginning of the summer, and then we went to Colorado over the Fourth of July. Many days have been spent in Bear Lake, Logan Canyon, and other canyons in Cache Valley. Ryan took up fly-fishing, and we go along for the ride. Campfires are a new favorite for Matthew, as long as there are hot dogs and marshmallows to roast! And David lunges for any crumb that might be dropped. Eating is definitely at the TOP of his list!!! Who would have guessed (He's five pounds less than Matthew.)? While in Colorado, we traveled to Winter Park for a family reunion. This is the cabin we stayed in. A full picture is provided below.
Keri's parents watched the kids so that Keri could go to girl's camp. Ryan surprised Keri on the last night by showing up for the "Fear Factor" contest. Scary!!!! The final event was eating something blind folded, and I was certain they were going to make me eat a bug. Instead it was a jelly donut-- it ended up in my face!

Pop-pop was so excited to have the boys visit, and they loved having him hold them--especially David.

"Can you go get me a cupcake, Matthew? I think there's one on Grammy's counter? Don't listen to them--I know it's there."

I love this picture! When we were in Texas, Ryan's parents took us to the coolest park. It was this outdoor, safari, savannah place called Fossil Rim. You drive through the park and feed animals out of your car. We fed giraffes, ostriches, deer, elk, and other animals out of our hand. It was so fun, and the kids loved it!!!
Partners in crime! Who needs a brother when you have a cousin?!

We had a lot of fun visiting Ryan's family. One of the days, we went miniature golfing and had fun chasing the kids around. Unfortunately, D'Lonna's oldest son, Tyler, had school so he didn't get to go. However, we did get to play with him in the evening. We couldn't resist taking this picture of the boys. David is about three months older than his new cousin James. They were both so sweet to watch sleeping.

Hey--your blog is terrific other than Grandma looks very tired in all the pictures. (She still looks very tired.) I just have one complaint. If Matthew can get it on that good with bag pipes, think what he could do with some real rock and roll. Thanks for sharing what's going on in your lives. Love ya, MOM A.
