
It is said that for a piece of coal to become a diamond, it must be exposed to temperatures over 2,000 degrees Farenheit. In addition, a pressure 50 times greater than that found in the earth's atmosphere must be applied. In order for this to happen, the diamonds must form at least 100 miles below the earth's surface. Then, once you have created your diamond, it has to surface. Both of these processes is likely to take thousands, even millions of years.
No doubt, we spend our entire lives being heated and pressured and polished, until eventually . . . we become what He wants us to be.
