Happy Birthday, Pa-Pa!

My parents flew in to town on Saturday, and my dad's birthday is July 29. So . . . in honor of his 30th . . . we went to Whataburger and then Matthew helped Mommy make Pa-Pa a popcorn cake. It turned out really cute.
Matthew was so excited about them coming, that he started holding the sign up about 10 minutes before we arrived at the airport.
No, my maiden name is NOT Qweesh. It's actually McLeish. But Qweesh . . . same thing.
Sandwich on Pa-Pa!!!
David immediately tucked his head into Ma-Ma's shoulder. And lets note that I only received one kiss the entire weekend they were here. The rest of the time, all of the kisses went to my parents.

This actually happened on Friday before they came. Both of the boys thought it was so funny to try on Daddy's work gloves.

One of the places we took my parents was to see the Dallas Temple. They hadn't been there since like 1984 or 1985. Unfortunately, the temple is closed right now for annual cleaning and maintenance repairs. However, the grounds are still gorgeous! And the temple itself is BEAUTIFUL!!!

Texas BBQ at Spring Creek BBQ. It wasn't as good as it was last time we went there about 6 or 7 months ago, but it still tasted pretty delicious! There's something so wonderful about brisket!!!
And note that the bottle next to my dad is a non-alcoholic IBC Rootbeer.
Oh the places we go! Shortly after we arrived at my kids' favorite park in Coppell, David had one of the biggest blow-outs of a lifetime. We rushed him to D'Lonna's to clean up and left the boys to play. Because it was 105 degrees, they were ready to leave when we got back. We stayed for about 15 more minutes and then drove home. Go figure!
We had a wonderful time with you, Mom and Dad. We hope you enjoyed your stay. We love you! And happy birthday, Dad!!!
