After dinner, we found our way back to the familiar city of Plano and we visited Ryan's family. The boys were so excited to finally receive permission from Mom to sleep on the top bunk. They were actually excited to go to sleep and David kept asking if it was time yet (Little did he realize that he would still be stuck on the bottom bunk.).
Our second evening there, we found a note on the door that said this:
and directed us here . . .
My boys have such a fun grandma!
The boys were so excited to find the lost treasure and bring home their loot for family movie night. You can especially read the excitement on Ethan's face!
In addition to this fun treasure hunt, the boys got to play with their cousins multiple times. I'm really bummed that I failed to record anything; however, there were some really sweet moments. Saturday, all the cousins met up to go to see The Diary of a Wimpy Kid. They thought this was so cool--especially since we recently read the book. Also, they did the slip 'n slide in the backyard, but unfortunately, Carter hurt his finger really bad (He's actually going to have surgery on it--poor guy.) and had to be taken to the hospital, so his dad could stitch him up. That brought a little excitement to the already excited house full of 7 boys. That night, as things calmed down and blood was cleaned up, we enjoyed a delicious brisket dinner. Also, on Sunday, after a yummy dinner at D'Lonna's, we took the boys on a nature walk. At one point, David and James or maybe it was David and Carter, but they were holding hands on the trail. It was really sweet.
Thanks for such a fun trip! We really had a great time!
