Matthew's First Hit Matthew began playing coach's pitch baseball this spring, and he's improved so much since the season began. His throwing has become harder, faster, and more accurate, and his batting continues to get better. However, until tonight, he was yet to have a hit in the actual game. This has been very discouraging for him and we've continued to impress upon him how well he's doing and that he'll figure it out.
Tonight was the night. He hit a fairly hard grounder to the third baseman, and at first he didn't run, because he was in such shock of his hit. Then, Ryan yelled, "Matthew, RUN!!!" He was so excited to have his first hit, and what not a better way to celebrate than with ice cream!! Way to go, Teus! We're so proud of you and grateful you get this opportunity to play baseball right now. It's been such a joy to watch you learn and grow.
